Chess in Schools

Assam Chess Club first introduced chess in schools of Assam in the year 2009. Our School program provide chess as a co curricular activity as well as optional extra curricular after school program. 

South Point School Guwahati, Sarala Birla Gyanjyoti School Amingaon and Axom Jatiya Vidyalaya Noomati were the first three school to adopt chess as part of their curriculam. Later in the year 2013, Royal Global School Guwahati, Delhi Public School Ahomgaon introduced chess in their curriculum.
